The Register of Deed's office is open for genealogy searching by appointment only.  Appointments may be scheduled during the hours of 8:30 am-11:30 am or 1:30 pm-3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. 

Appointment time slots are limited to two people with a maximum of eight books pulled per day.  The public computers in the office lobby are available for property searching only and completing vital record applications.

To schedule an appointment:

1. Pick your desired date to complete your genealogy search and choose either the morning (8:30 am-11:30 am) or afternoon (1:30 pm-3:30pm) time slot. 
2. Call the Register of Deeds Office at 715-261-1470 to schedule your appointment.
3. On the date of your appointment, come to the Marathon County Courthouse, 500 Forest Street, Wausau WI 54403 at your scheduled time to complete your search.
