Wausau/Marathon County Parks Recreation and Forestry Department (the Department) is governmental authority subject to the Wisconsin Public Records Law.  Information that cannot be released includes financial account numbers, social security numbers and driver’s license numbers. The Department does not sell information. The Department does use the information internally for future contacts related to its programs.

Campsites Reservations

• The $8 reservation fee that is charged per reservation is non-refundable.
• Reservations cancelled 8 calendar days or more prior to the check-in date will result in a $10.00 cancelation fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.
• Reservations cancelled 7 calendar days or less before the check-in date will result in 100% forfeiture of all fees.
• Reservations may be modified or moved to a different date range up to 4 days in advance of the check-in date at no cost.
• Reservations cannot be modified or moved 3 days or less before the check-in date.  
• Refunds may be granted in the form of credit on CivicRec account, check, or credit back to the card on file.

Shelters and Facility Rentals

• Any fee, deposit, or charge labeled as non-refundable will not be refunded upon cancelation.
• Rentals cancelled 30 calendar days or more prior to the scheduled event will result in a 10% cancelation fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.
• Rentals cancelled 29 calendar days or less before the scheduled event will result in 100% forfeiture of all fees.
• Rentals may be modified or moved to a different date up to 4 days in advance of the scheduled event at no cost.
• Reservations cannot be modified or moved 3 days or less before the scheduled event dates.  
• Refunds may be granted in the form of credit on CivicRec account, check, or credit back to card on file.

Program Registrations

• Any fee, deposit, or charge labeled as non-refundable will not be refunded upon cancelation.
• Registrations cancelled before registration deadline are eligible for 100% refund of all refundable program registration fees.
• Registrations cancelled after registration deadline because of a medical reason may be considered for refund eligibility.
• Registrations cancelled after the program start date for any reason will result in 100% forfeiture of all fees.
• Refunds may be granted in the form of credit on CivicRec account, check, or credit back to card on file.

Membership/Pass/Permit Purchases

•  All memberships, passes and permits purchases are final.  No refunds will be given to any request of cancelations of these items.  

Ice Time/Sports Fields/Ball Diamond/Court Reservations

• Reservations cancelled 14 calendar days or more prior to the scheduled event will result in a 10% cancelation fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.
• Reservations cancelled 13 calendar days or less before the scheduled event will result in 100% forfeiture of all fees.
• Reservations may be rescheduled at no charge up to 5 days before scheduled use.
• For all weather related cancellations, 100% of the rental fee will be refunded.
